SCO Summit: PM Shahbaz further added that Afghan soil should not be allowed for any kind of Terrorist Activities

During the 2022 meeting of the SCO Council of Heads of State Summit, the Prime Minister of Pakistan told the audience that all the SCO member states are interested in maintaining peace in the region. This will become a prerequisite for economic development. The PM has advised the Afghan leaders to fulfill a positive role in mitigating terrorism in the region.

The common and prime interest to sustain peace and stability in Afghanistan will serve as a linchpin to accomplish the common goal. Thus, it becomes the duty of the international community to support the government of Afghanistan towards its economic and developmental requirement. Shahbaz Sharif said that Afghan soil had been employed in terrorist activities which have had been a worry for all of us. He had rejected state terrorism and called for the elimination of militancy as a first step towards attaining economic wizard.

He also categorically deplored terrorism in whatever form and continued “this terrorism whether by individual, groups or states must be expelled in totality and in a systemic manner”. Further, there was exclamation that Pakistan is keen it will observe principal of sovereignty of states, their territorial integrity and right to self determination.
