PABBI: To ensure that they ramp up their counter-terrorism measures, Pakistan and the United States have embarked on the much heralded Infantry Rifle Company Exchange Exercise 2024. This was a bilateral cooperation for two weeks of intensified work – the activity started on 29th June, 2024 at the National Counter Terrorism Centre in Pabbi.
This exercise has brought together infantry companies from both nations, which has been assembled to share experiences that are tactical and fundamental for defeating the near-penetrative terrorism menace in the world at the lowest level. Well, Australia regards this as not a mere military training but a vigorous approach of counter-terrorism actual operations, identifying uncertainty actualities of counter-terrorism, and sharpening essential parts of counter-terrorism drills.
The participants get engaged in improving and enhancing their target engagement skills and methods including those relating to urban environments at the sub-unit level through the use of avalanche of pertinent current best practices. This fictionalised learning approach is supposed to help a soldier develop the tools and understanding with regard to the continuous and peculiar conflicts in security operations.
In fact, the commencement of the exercise witnessed a highly representative attendance due to arrival of General Officer Commanding Kharian Garrison; thus, the importance that both the nations have given to the counter-terrorism cooperation. Apart from enhancing defense cooperation this exchange aims at enhancing increased cooperation and readiness in combating the ongoing menace of terrorism.
